When it kicks in, my woofers smile big like a Cheshire Cat. But I like the dynamic ramps, so we're not overwhelmed by DBs throughout.

I enjoy the dynamics also...
Thanks
The sub is a legato'd triangle wave with a little bit of glide. I added some saturation to about 30 to 65hz and did some frequency splitting. Turned out excellent on smaller speakers. Hoping a smile and not a smurk coming out of your subs?

If you guys like the compression ive used, it was the ott compressor from xfer.
https://xferrecords.com/freeware/
The ott on the page is quite suited for harder electronic stuff. I found great results with it on this track with basically just running the track through it with 10-25% depth and upwards set to about 50. Be careful on your input ott stands for over the top

@vitalker
Thanks for the comment. I think ive had 3 comments ever so yours means alot. In terms of bass, its a simple one... just LOTS of automation. Oh and a seperate sub
@msundh

Could you please write what plugs/synth did you use for the sub? I've tried Reasynth with a subbass preset, but it's a bit low, so I need to somehow add upper harmonics. Could you give some tips?

I design all my sub patches the same and can be done with any synth that has a triangle oscillator. Triangles have more upper harmonics which can give you alot more to work with.
The only reason you need a seperate sub is if your main bass is heavily modulated. Alot of times with the alot of movement in the main bass, the sub is moving aswell. I like to have my sub to be totally consistent. Basically untouched.
So take your main patch, lets say a filtered saw. High pass around 140 htz with a steep filter. This allows your sub to shine.
Now take your legato* triangle wave sub and low pass down to 140 htz. Here you can add upper harmonics with any saturation or distortion using the js splitter plugins if you need it. But you can usually get away with the raw sub because the triangle is outputting frequencies up to 140 htz with your main bass filling out the rest. Then compress them together :) it can be more complicated sometimes but often not.
The key is to seperate at 140.
If you really want to go the extra mile i recommend splitting the frequencies and muting 140 htz in your main bass, and muting the upper frequencies in your sub at 140. This eliminates the crossover problem with eq splitting.
Yeah

Thanks Morgan. I'm not sure why in the real world someone would actually listen to this but still was fun to make. Maybe a red bull commercial
