Default My Project is out of tune

Hi,
i´m working on a project with ca. 40 tracks. After i recorded some guitars i listened to the complete track within reaper to see how it sounds. I tried to jam to the song with my guitar and i realized that everything was out of tune (not my guitar ;-) !) . Maybe 1/4 step to low.

I guess, i accidentally hit some keys which caused the problem.

When i listen to the source wav- Files outside reaper the tuning is fine. Only within Reaper everything plays 1/4 step lower even if i mute most of all tracks. I first thought it could be a performance - problem with my cpu, but the cpu usage isn´t higher than 35%.

Could somebody please help me?

Thanks in advance
Michael

is the project set at the correct speed? there's a playback rate slider just to the left of the bpm control on the default theme, and it's fairly easy to knock it accidentally

Yup, that sucker sure is easy to hit by mistake.

Luckily you can hide it by right clicking in the general area and unchecking "Show Play Rate Control".

I did just that after inadvertently hitting that puppy once too many times

Yes, I use the scroll wheel all the time zooming in and out for editing, and found myself often scrolling over the rate slider, thus adjusting it. Just as I was thinking "I wish I could move this sucker" I then found the "Hide Rate Control" option. *Click* No more accidents

I´m using the scroll-wheel to zoom in and out too. That´s how it happened. Thanks for the hiding- tip!
