Default 64-Bit Win7-Pro + Reaper 64-bit + ProjectMix I/O??

Hi all... my first post here. I've been reading this forum for a
month and a half, trying to wrap my head around setting up a studio in
REAPER. I was an analog guy for 20 years, but it's all changed so much
I feel like an imbecile I'm very audio oriented, very computer savvy
on both Mac and PC, as well as Linux...

But after reading dozens of threads here, I cannot put all of what I
THINK I want to together from all the fragments I've read.

What I want to do: REAPER 64-bit DAW, Win7 Pro 64-bit OS on an I7
box with 8gb RAM and dedicated 7200 RPM DAW internal drive. The
interface I'd like to use is M-Audio ProjectMix I/O - that will satisfy
my "old school" desire for faders, and handle the MIDI and audio
interface all at one swing.

Will all of this work together under REAPER 3.75 64-bit? Is support
for ProjectMix I/O now incorporated into REAPER? (I.e, fader automation,
encoders, transport, display, etc.) Or is ProjecMix I/O not compatible?

Any help and or insight into the above would be GREATLY appreciated.

[bump]

No one?

I was recently reading that ProjectMix won't work in Reaper in
64-bit Win7... but there are some references here that it works
with Reaper 32....

I'm in no huge rush to buy the ProjectMix... but I'm really hoping
that someone who KNOWS that it would work posts so that I don't waste
$1200+ on an interface/surface that isn't compatible with the DAW
that I'm now learning to use... (Reaper!)

Thanks!!

Just a bump for this one after quite some years...I'm considering going down the same path with a used Projectmix....can anyone report their experiences with this control surface and Reaper please ?
