Default Have to admit: icons make Reaper much more attractive

I almost don't dare to admit it, but i have to: some of the new icon-sets give Reaper a very different look and feel: professional.
I always thought i'm not very influenced by graphics. Form follows function and the colors have to be easy on the eyes. That's all i need!

I'm aready in the process to decide for the next sequencer and i'm taking a closer look at Samplitude. In the last week i was already much more leaning torwards Sam and clip-FX was, besides the general more "pro-feeling" the main reason so far. I thought this feeling comes only from the features and workflow of Sam.
But since i tried one of the new icon-sets, i'm suddenly much more attracted by Reaper! Suddenly Clip-FX is no longer so extremely important as it was before and suddenly i'm willing to wait for an update of Reaper and live without it now.

This is the first time, i saw myself, how graphics can influence the overall impression about a software. Incredible.

Now Reaper would need professional graphics for the included FX.

Yes, I think this is more important than some people might believe - I think it can make the difference as to whether a given application is used or not used.

I agree with everything you stated! (even the snipped parts) However, the included FX don't get used by me only because their interfaces aren't "dumbed-down" enough for me to just be able to rip into them and use them.

It's a Dominent blond gene thing, I guess...

How about an automatic pop-up un REAPER start with major tom? muhahah

But in general underestimation is the best weapon one can get.

P.S. Pipe: What band is that on the studio-Z demo mp3, it kicks in at around 4:30, I guess.
