Default Update Installation Question

Greetings,

I haven't logged on here for a few months and noticed there is a new update.... I hate to assume (It's the mother of all F'ups).... So, my one question is this.....

(1): Can I (we) install the new version (or future updates) into the current version's directory while maintaining all of my (our) Settings, Directory Structures, Options, Etc.??? If not, can the Dev's please post an "Install Update Read-me" and link to it (this way there's no need to answer this question multiple times for other inquiring users).

Thanks, please have a great weekend.

PS: I would like to send a special thanks to all of the Dev, & Support teams for the much anticipated updates and support!!! Keep up the great work guys, I hope all of you have a very prosperous fiscal year (and a creative one also).

Reaper 'update' is quick and painless!!

Just install over your 'old' install, then get after it.

Do forget to download the updated copy of the Reaper User Guide...

http://www.cockos.com/reaper/userguide.php.

And don't miss Kenny's "new feature" videos, see here:

Enjoy!

Thanks B-Kat,

I'm really stoked to hear that. I had another DAW package that when I installed the updates, it messed with my settings / Dir structures (Eeeek).

Ok.... Ver-4.52 is up and running. Seems good on the surface, I'll play around and check out the fixes and new features. I never really had a problem with speed (graphics updates, HD Read/Write's, etc.) or I/O latency issues, but I'm very happy they addressed certain issues/bugs.

Take care and be well, have a great weekend!

Cheers

-Terry
