I like both versions, but the first one had a certain "charm" that appealed to me more. Not saying the new version is in any way 'bad,' it's simply a taste thing...or maybe because I listened to the old version first and that's what was stuck in my mind. Biased me, so to speak.

After listening again, the collab version grew on me fast. I found myself rocking back and forth in my chair more. As for the mix, there's not too much to comment on. Of course, the kick shines through, and the guitar is clear enough. I could stand to hear the bass synth a little more prominently. I think there's room for it wo disturbing the kick.

Hmm thanks Sammy. It makes me thinky akg 240 open back headphones are pretty well representative of bass freq's. Almost all my tracks, people say the bass is a bit shy..
Enlightened!!!

At the moment I can't listen to it on good equipment, but to me it sounds like the kick is overpowering the bass line. Maybe pull back a bit on the kick to give more room for the bass, use the stereo field more effectively, or work with ducking?
Or, of course, write a bass line with higher frequency notes

It sounds "bigger" and clearer to me.

I do. A good listen. A nice form to the whole thing and, as a guitarist, I liked the feel of the guitars in it.

awesome. really glad you dig it. I had to high pass the guitars more then i would have liked due to the amount of low end in electronic music but what can i do ya know. Also the reverb is valhalla vintage verb, stock preset. Best preset for guitar imo.
