Hi folks,
I usually have a lot of measure changes in my songs, thus many points in the master track tempo/measure envelope. As I sometimes also have tempo changes as well, I would like to know if it is possible to change the tempo for a section of the song to a specific value.
Example:
The song starts with tempo 200, then goes through say 10 measure changes at the same tempo, then the tempo reduces to 190, with again a couple of measure changes following. Now I want to increase the tempo of the first part to 205 which feels better. Actually I know I can select the 10 measure change points and move them with the mouse, but I can not hit one specific value exactly with that. As well the "edit value" dialog affects only one of the points. So I click each of the points and enter "205" for every single point which is very annoying.
Is there some way to get all the points to the same tempo value at once? Or is there a way to separate the tempo changes from the measure changes? Actually I do not see a reason why every measure change should include a tempo change, why not do an independant tempo envelope like in cubase, which allows to change the tempo of the section from the begining until the next tempo change no matter what measure changes are between?
If there is no way to do this task economically I have to post a feature request before buying reaper
