Don't think we can. Are you referring to the MIDI notes themselves, or the piano roll note names (that go over the black and white keys) or both?
Pretty sure it's a no on both of those.
In addition to this, it would be great to adjust the vertical bar that divides the piano keys from the note entry area. This could work in the same way the TCP/Arrange area divider bar works. This would be useful for midi note maps with long names. They're hard to read & partially obscured on white keys when the text is under the black keys. Too long, and you can't read the full name at all.

Hi Mike,
The rectangles themselves was what I referred to, but, the piano keys font would be also useful to modify -speaking of which, like you mention, would benefit a horizontal resize (like we can do vertically currently).
I'll add a mockup here for that very feature in my next post.

Note names on B, C, E, F would be easier to read if they weren't centered. Their nearby black keys obscure the text.
B & E text should be moved up a little bit.
C & F text should be moved down a little bit.
For example, the B text is obscured by the A#/Bb key, as you can see in this picture.
Also notice how I have to abbreviate playing techniques due to space limitations. Being able to move the piano keys left and right to make room for longer text would be great!
(Not trying to derail your thread, but add related ideas to it. )

Didn't want to start a new thread, but this still cant be changed six years later right ?
Are people still pretending that Reapers UI isn't just slapped together hodge podge, part themable, part stuck in win 3.11 aesthetics.
EDIT*
Sorry, used search and this was the most relevant thread, didn't realise somebody had posted this in the pre section

If only...
I've tried everything but it's impossible.
We just have to hope after the new audio editing related updates, MIDI edition will be the next improvement.
Some very talented scripters have shown the way, now it's up to Cockos to implement on a native level the last thing that puts Reaper behind something like Cubase : MIDI experience.
UI : Customizable fonts for notes - rulers - keyboard, more dockers for toolbars&inspectors etc.
CC¬es : drawing tools, with curves, smoothing, expansion, compression, acceleration, tilting, LFO
Artic maps (we're gonna have that in next update and that's huge)

I am really hoping (As i did with v5 rollover) that Reaper at v6 halts all feature development and just gets the massive UI overhaul it deserves, turn Reaper in to a just a core that can be completely scripted and themed to look and behave exactly how any user wants.
Yes it would be complicated but the default would be the default.

This! I'm just in the process of switching from Cubase, and while I love Reaper with all my heart, there's a small bunch of features that Cubase has that I will really miss if they never make it to Reaper. Nicer CC editing (and visualisation) is at the very top of that list
