Default Cut and Paste Help

I see there is a lot of info on various setups for cutting and pasting.

The issue I'm having is that out of the blue Reaper refuses to paste my selection from the clipboard to the exact spot designated by the cursor. Instead Reaper always pastes the selection at the end of my project. This happens whether the yellow "region" bar is highlighted or not.

How the hell do I set Reaper up for a standard/simple cut and paste without downloaded more worthless extensions for shortcuts and features that I will never use (and that will ultimately only change my menu config).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

mine works fine
If you look in Options / Preferences / Editing Behaviour I have only the middle of the top three checkboxes ticked

Good luck

I concur. Looks like the last of the 3 might be your culprit ("Move edit cursor to end of recorded items on record stop")
