EFMod_JN Theme
Hi everyone!
This is a mod I made from the wonderful Janne2016 II theme, presented here with the permission of the original author. The original theme is one of the best out there (in my opinion) and was a great base that I could modify easily to my liking. This is basically mostly color-change stuff and re-masking some of the png's.
Thank you Janne83 for making this great theme and allowing me to publish my attempt on it.
The theme now comes packed together with 5 fonts that needs to be installed for the theme to look like in the screenshot.
These fonts can be set in Theme Tweaker by the user if not in your taste:
tcp.trackidx [WALTER FONT 6]
tcp.recinput [WALTER FONT 8]
tcp.volume.label [WALTER FONT 8]
tcp.pan.label [WALTER FONT 8]
tcp.width.label [WALTER FONT 8]
trans.sel [WALTER FONT 5]
trans.rate [WALTER FONT 7]
trans.bpm.tap [WALTER FONT 7]
trans.bpm.edit [WALTER FONT 7]
trans.curtimesig [WALTER FONT 7]
You can find the modded theme here:
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1968/E...ReaperThemeZip
DarkME version:
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1969/E...ReaperThemeZip
FONTS
https://stash.reaper.fm/30456/EFMod_JN%20FONTS.rar
SPLASH SCREEN
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/2000/E...lashscreen.zip
These are the three scripts that I have docked there.
The upper ones are bFooz's MeterBridge and
Claudiohbsantos's Top Display
The lower one is Kawa's mod on TracksFX Matrix.

Thank you so much, Exidus! This is one of the best themes for Reaper I've seen, ever. Kinda "pro" theme. With less distractions, easy on eyes so you can mix for hours without much eye-strain. Now the contrast is better. That's great!

Very nice! Bug: the play cursor is white in the midi editor. Fine for the piano roll mode, but invisible in the notation editor view.

Yeah... that's a bit of a problem... the thing is that in the Theme Tweaks you can specify only one of the alternating colors for MIDI editor cursor. If I change this one, the MIDI cursor blinks between this color and borrows the second (Alternating one) from the Arranger cursor. I couldn't find anything else in the config files either.
Due to some bug in Reaper, the blinking in Notation Editor is happening only on mouse move. when the mouse is not moving - the cursor is fixed to one of the colors. Which in this case makes me choose either to change the main cursor color (which I think will damage the overall look of the theme) or deal with half-disappearing cursor in Notation Editor.
BTW the quickest fix will be to change the background of the Notation Editor itself, but I dont think this is possible.

Darn. I like your theme. Can you make a special edition (though it compromises the look of the theme) to accomodate notation editor view?

I think I found a way to do it Check out the new update mate
If you still find it hard to read, you can easily change the color by yourself by going to
Actions -> Theme Development: Show theme tweak/configuration window
In the config window look for these colors:
> Edit Cursor
> Edit Cursor (Alternate)
.. and a bit more down in the list:
> MIDI Editor Cursor
and change them to your liking
The Arranger cursor will blink between "Edit Cursor" and "Edit Cursor (Alternate)"
The MIDI editor one will blink between "MIDI Editor Cursor" and "Edit Cursor (Alternate)"
Thank you for reporting this!

Wow. This looks seriously fab. I've been using Apollo + Paulie lately simply because I love how the selected tracks "pop" from the unselected tracks in those themes, but this is really calling my name . . . Well done!

Themes updated
Some bugs fixed and some fine tuning, see the first post for details
This is pretty much the final work I am doing on this one - I really like how it came out. I want to say big THANK YOU to the people who helped me discover bugs and overcome difficulties.
A big THANK YOU also to @Janne83, without whom's work and approval I would not have embarked in Reaper Theming.

Hey exidus, the theme looks great! Would it be possible to create a version that doesn't use the HAXRCORP_S8.FON font, as .fon fonts aren't MAC compatible?
I've been trying to find a way to install/convert the file, but so far no luck.
EDIT: Nevertheless the theme works and looks great. I managed to convert the HAXRCORP_S8.FON to a .dfont file which I installed, but I don't think the theme is recognizing it as my Transport time digits don't look like yours:
Anyway, the theme works as is and looks great. Many thanks.

Thank you @wjmwpg
The new version (after 24.04) is not using that font.. i think... its still in the font package though, I admit.. I will reupload it again without it
For now if you download the latest version of the theme and install the fonts (without HAXRCORP_S8) it should be working correctly

The Timeline uses Electrolize Bold 9 (you can change it in Theme Tweaker at the end of the Timeline elements section). The Track ID is also off.. It uses the same font, but different size.
My suggestion:
Redownload the Fonts pack (I have updated it) install the fonts from there. Redownload the theme and try again.
See if the font (Electrolize) is registered in your font list and if it still doesnt show correctly try both the fonts in text editor (mainly the numbers)
Edit:
I now saw that the Transport bar also looks off. It uses Electrolize Mono (a modification of the original which I made to mono-space the numbers for the transport status - may be this is why it has problems on MAC)

I have redownloaded the fonts pack and the theme and reinstalled everything. The fonts seem to install okay, but nevertheless my timeline and transport time digits still looks like this (note also that the last digit of the BPM is cut off):
Once installed the two Electrolize fonts in the pack (_Status and -Regular) show up in Text Edit as Electrolize and ElectrolizeMono:
If I open my old Word V12 from 2008 only the ElectronizeMono font is available to use, no sign of Electrolize . . .

Strange...
If you are bugged by the inconsistency, you can change the font of the entire transport bar by changing Walter Font 7 and 5 (for the Selection Times) in Theme Tweaker.
Sorry about that!

Sure
They are both scripts that I have docked in different dockers.
The Meter Bridge is made by bFooz and you can find it here
The second one is a mod of eugen2777's "TrackFXs Routing Matrix" made by KAWA and you can find it here
(Hint: It is not only a visualization - its a fully functional Track/Items FX Matrix and it is one of the coolest scripts/mods out there)

All of them in general. Looks like you put a lot of time into them, but it appears that everything I'd need is right there. Looks very cool too!
