I love the Greg Hopkins IR's. Looks like his homepage is down, but the impulses are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vjf5bsi28...blLrjUAaa?dl=0
His Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hopkinsmediaservices/
It includes the following:
Digital Reverbs : 'Lexicon 480L', 'Lexicon 300', 'Lexicon PCM60', 'Yamaha REV7'.
Plates & Springs : 'BX20E', 'Ecoplate', 'EMT'.
Real Spaces : 'Concrete Tunnel', 'Hinton Hall', 'Studio B'.
Slapstick Impulses : 'Mass Comm Hallway', 'Tunnel'.
Though for vocals and snares/toms these days I'm using Valhalla Plate.

As a general rule with some exceptions:
Valhalla (Vintage, Room and Shimmer) for most algo stuff. Native Instruments for 5.1 algo. Waves TrueVerb on drums and Waves IR1 for convo.

Actually our own SMM has created some very nice IRs.
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=130497
If you listen closely to the tails, SMM did a remarkable job on these.
And already mentioned, Samplicity by Peter Roos, there's an IR called "Small Wooden Room", or something like that, that works great on many snares. Also, Peter includes True Stereo IRs.

I use ReaVerb for all my IRs, but I only add it when I'm done with a project. It causes many problems with latency, so I use a couple of decent free verbs along with Waves TrueVerb that I got when they offered it for free, until I'm ready to mix.

I use Tanglewood - and the Waits room from the Briscati impulses a bit. I like several of the PCM90 plate impulses, and there is a PCM90 Hall impulse called "LIVE_nonlin wrhse" that I really like. ( I guess it's a nonlinear warehouse, but, I like to pretend it's a nonlinear whorehouse. And in this whorehouse is the waits room - that's where I go to track vocals.. lol )

There is Gorse from England, the purples are foxgloves the yellow I think is some kind of creeping clover I can not get a handle on the name Pipeline audio.
I am in New Zealand on the westcoast of the South Island.
Thanks for the "Like" on my number I will listen to your tracks on Wednesday I am off on a trip in a minute away for a day or so. Those reverb impulses of yours are not too shabby I was totally surprised... talented person indeed.

I mainly use the M7 impulses from Samplicity. I've tried them against the hardware unit. They are not 100%... but I'd say about 98-99% there. That last 1% or 2% I'd say is "movement" or "feel".
When I recorded the two and nulled them against each other, more was left in the audible result that I had hoped for.
I'm not dissatisfied with the M& impulses though.
I have used the Valhalla stuff too and they hold their own really well. I haven't used the plate, but dang, it's getting some love here.

You can pay more money and get a convolution plugin that has its own modulation, but with standard convolvers, IR's will always be static.

Vacuumsound's Poor Plate: freeware plate that, when bookended with stock eq used in a send and return manner, totally satisfies me in a way no other I've got to use has satisfied. Of course, I always use it on its own buss, not inline.
Spring? I gave up finding a vst. I just bounce out of the box through one of two different spring boxes I own, disused from Hammond organs. Tedious and somewhat hissy, but I was going to roll off the highs anyway. Any recommendations for a vst that doesn't suck? (Probably is going to break the bank isn't it?)
All around other verb spaces? It's not vst, it's AU, but "MatrixReverb" that's built into the Mac OS is, well, amazing. I've got a host of new presets that do room reflections, better warmer halls, better chambers, all sorts of great sounding stuff. This is the only one that I sometimes use inline. Usually when trying to add distance/room that wasn't originally captured at the mic.

Overloud's SpringAge is very good. Based on impulses but with some small tweaks to adjust the sound. I think it is a very good one but I'd like to hear everybody else's opinion of course, I'm not an expert...
