This theme is looking excellent!!
Everyone has their own tastes on things. But my absolute favorite way of showing folder tracks is the rack handles that are used in the Analog Api themes by Pyerbass.
It is so easy with just a quick glance to see the folder status.
Just my input FWIW.

Can't wait to try this one out!!!

Just a bump to keep Solaris SSL at the top. The mockup is absolutely stunning. I'd love to see it completed.......

I can certainly understand the need for a vacation from theme making. It must be a huge amount of work to finish a theme of this magnitude.

Just know that in my opinion at least the Solaris SSL theme has the potential to be the greatest theme ever created for any DAW. So having said that I would be more than willing to pay for the finished version if you ever do get around to completing it........

Take care and thanks for all your contributions to Reaper.......

Making themes is VERY time consuming. I mean VERY time consuming. Having worked on a few themes myself, I completely understand why he would need a break from it

the shadows are too long, in a real studio, if lights were that far in front of you it would blind the engineer at the desk. (not to mention the meter bridge would cast a shadow itself, making such long shadows not likely. shorter if anything, you would have track lighting directly above so the engineer wouldnt cast her own shadow on the console, and again i will say that no bright lights would want to be in front of the console, it would annoy the daylights out of an engineer fast. also the long shadows muddy up and de-clarify the theme. shorter shadows is the vote.

I'm sure when you are ready, it will be also. Take a break ! (dammit) LOL

I appreciate all the hard work you are doing and have done, and that's not ass kissing, I actually use Solaris (orig) as my theme and love it.

Best to ya !

Great theme. I'm drooling already!

Please could I humbly ask a little extra work on the MCP fader and meter area so it can be reduced? Just the part inbetween the track name and the "sel" area? That way we could perhaps make it fit on a laptop 15' screen.

I'm already heart broken because of Imperial. Pleeeeeease?

Good Lord, I am drooling...like more than I drooled when I saw Imperial for the first time!

Is this for large screen monitors only, though? Will the theme fit my 16-inch laptop?

Edit: after seeing above posts I see that it will not.

Well, a guy can dream...

For the record, I just discovered Solaris Pro. Too sexy.

Just looked at it again, damn what nice work.

I feel the same way I did when I was waiting (patiently) for WT's.

Don't change the shadows - they allow the eye to easily differentiate the "buttons", I like that a lot.

And the crispness.

Although, there is the concept of furthering that line of thought, in exaggerating the difference between foreground/background, by having all of the "raised, "touchable"" parts crisp and the "background", flat parts slightly blurred.
