Default Plugins New Issue

Hello,

I have a problem,
I updated my old plugins (waves) and when I open a Reaper session it asks me for the old plugin folder (not existing anymore, it is substituted by a newer version). Then after various cancel actions it reports the old plugins as missing.
Is there no way to upgrade from the older plugins automatically? There is a lot of automation work going there in!!!

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,

DA

Can't you just point to a new folder via VST plugin settings in preferences ?

Did you 'register' the Waves plugins after the update? Remember that Waves plugins are proprietary and use the Waveshell wrapper. That means you need to run their registration utility (found in Applications/Waves/Waveshells/ ->Waves AU Reg Utility - note it has 'AU' in the name but registers all flavors of waveshell) and point it to it's own plugin folder (found in Applications/Waves/Waves Plug-Ins).

OSX file system locations noted above. You'll have to translate for Windows.
