Default number of measures in a selection?

Hey all,

Is there a way, besides me counting, to get the number of bars/measures in a selection?

Some action or info about the selection somewhere?

Thank you

There are 3 info fields regarding the time selection in the transport window, one of them being the length. As per default (transport under the arrange view spreading all across your horizontal monitor), they are looking a bit lonely at the right edge of the transport "strip".

They display in the unit you set for the transport. If it's not measures/beats currently, right click the transport and set the unit to either "Measures.Beats/Minutes:Seconds", or just "Measures.Beats".
One thing to get used to: the length display won't round up to the next measure but down to the previous beat. So for example: using a 4/4 signature, if you have exactly two measures in your time selection it will display "1.4.00", not "2.0.00" as one may expect.

Thank you!

Your comment on rounding down...
How will that effect 6/8 beats...
I need to read the manual on tempo marker options.

I need to learn to count beats...

I am trying to build a song in Reaper with Jamstix, that goes from 4/4 to 6/8 and back multiple times.
Quite a struggle to get all things working properly.
Particularly the writing of the song (getting the changes to be on measures appropriatly, but that is a different problem altogether!
