Just download the standalone MBox driver from Digi-site and you can use your MBox

Yes you can use Reap or PT. I have Mbox2 and you just open Reap, CtrlP, Audio Devices and Mbox will be recognized by Reap, then set Ins and Outs.

In Mbox2, In 3/4 and Out 3/4 are actually S/P Diffs so I use alias for those as S/P Diff L and R respectively.

Click the ASIO confuguration tab and the Digidesign ASIO Control Panel opens. Here you can set buffer size. For recording MIDI use a low buffer (128) and also keep that buffer size even for playback...until you have recorded the MIDI output as Audio...then you can up the Buffer Size in order to get more track playback.

Most Digi I/O boxes have been tested and confirmed to work with Reaper:

Default MBox Mini issues

I'm trying to get Reaper to recognize my MBox Mini, but although I select the ASIO driver I cannot see it listed, and when I clicked on the ASIO Configuration button the app crashed. This is on a Vista laptop, btw. I have the Vista version of ProTools LE installed, but it is flaky. Any advice?

Thanks in advance!
