I am at the point in a song's production where I need to bounce/sum tracks to make room on the analogue mixer. What I *want* to do is mix *all* of the acoustic guitar tracks down to a single stereo pair, which I will then use in reaper for further production(adding more tracks). I grasp the basic idea...but do not know how to go about this in the most logical way. I also do not know where to, for example..keep the *reaper* mixer faders for this task, or what is the ideal gain/level for sending out..or panning. (although I *ALWAYS* do LCR panning, always)I can grasp this easily in the context of either analogue OR digital mixing, but the hybrid approach workflow is doing my head in...the routing in particular, the way to go about it. YIKES.
my mixer is Soundcraft Sig 22 MTK with various sundry outboard gears:P so I want to take all of the guitar tracks , out to the mixer back into reaper channel 1 and 2.
Help? the mixer manual is
