How to record streaming audio in Reaper?
Hi, this sound like a basic question but I haven't found how to do it nor did I find the answer on the forum.
How do I record streaming audio (that is played from my browser) into Reaper?
If this is not possible, what other means do I have to record this audio?

On Windows, set the audio driver to WASAPI Loopback.
Heed the caution, as it allows for feedback routing (basically don't monitor the track, or Reaper will record itself).
Any audio you play through the computer will be picked up in Reaper.

Thanks this worked. I had to change the driver in Reaper's settings though, not in Windows.

VAC is also an option if you want to monitor the session. This video and comments might help as well.

Connect physical cables from your audio interface's outputs back into its inputs, I guess. There is no more any working free software solution available, at least for the newer macOs versions. (SoundFlower appears to completely incompatible with for example macOs High Sierra.)

ive always resorted to patching Voicemeter Banana to reaper via the virtual inputs. your method is simple and clean!

Joyoshare audio recorder can record streaming audio easily.
Just press the record button, stream the audio and it will be recorded in real-time.

My solution is really low tech.
I connect a stereo cable from the headphone jack on my computer speakers to the inputs (1 and 2) on my interface, then hit record.

Audacity, or Audio Capture. They both work for Windows and PC. Audacity is available for Linux too.
