Default Can't see INSERT/SENDS in mixer channel strip (HELP!!)

Hey fellas

Really sorry if this is an obvious question and/or is in the wrong sub-forum,

I’ve started using Reaper DAW (Version 4.78) for a studio position (I use pro tools predominantly). I’m currently getting my head around the software on my home PC (windows 7 - 64 bit)

My issue/question is: can you get the mixer channels strips to display the inserts/sends above the voltage meter in the channel strip as I’ve seen in tutorials of some previous versions. I’ve attached a screenshot from version 3 tutorial I watched, with what I’m looking for circled in red, and also a screenshot from my software – showing the settings that are ticked when right-clicking on the mixer (I‘ve browsed through Reaper's preferences but couldn’t see anything at first glance regarding this).

If I expand the mixer dock in height, it just expands the voltage meter and doesn’t reveal the INSERTS/SENDS. I know I can click the FX button and it show me the inserts in the window, but I’d obviously rather be able to see the inserts n whatnot at first glance of the channel strip. Is this version related? I’m using Reaper v4.78.

I feel like I’m missing something obvious but can’t find topics related in any other forums, videos or the user manual..

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Change the mixer track layout from the Options menu, that one doesn't contain sends/inserts I believe.
