Hi again,
Due to the problems I've incurred in the process of trying to add track indexing to contiguous live records (as documented in
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=37385), I've learned a bit more about CUE files and am wondering what the easiest way is to export/calculate a CUE file (based on the markers in REAPER) that I could use with a 44.1 kHz/16-bit WAVE file--instead of rendering the BIN file that typically goes along with the "CUE/BIN" option.
The reason for this is that I'd like to be able to burn/share the WAVE files anyway--and, as far as I can tell, the CUE format should work with WAVE files too, so all I'd need to do is change the corresponding filename to the .wav (the type to WAVE). I suppose I could render the BIN file too and just delete, but that seems like a waste of time if it can be avoided.
Am also wondering if ReaBurn may be the tool to use here. (Haven't had the opportunity to download it yet, though.)
Also, on a related note: Is there any reason to use the dithering or noise-shaping options, when rendering, if the source is a single stereo WAV file that was recorded at 44.1 kHz/16 bits?
Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
Thanks a lot and take care,
Alan
