"and on the 2nd RC of christmas the best devs gave to me.."

bad joke!

Thanks guys for slipping these improvements through. I can feel the wind change and a storm brewing on Reaper 5! make sure you get loads of time off too of course!

For a few versions now, I've been experiencing occasional drop-outs when I open a plugin GUI. Not just the expected dropout on plugin instanciation, but more concerningly when re-opening a plugin's GUI.

I used to feel confident that I could do this while recording, but now this is not the case and I've had interruptions to recording.

My initial thought was that it was caused by a specific plugin, but it appears to be caused by most.

Is it possible the video priority has been increased in recent versions? I'm running the same power PC as before the problem started.

Best regards,

Hmm, I've seen this too recently. I only noticed it on a couple of new plugins (Diva especially) I had so I figured it was only those though, but maybe it's not afterall.

*edit - Windows 7/Reaper 32bit/Intel i7

Hey all. I was using the sequencer mega baby tonight on a track and opening or closing it sometimes caused all the audio to hiccup. I didn't try any other plugs but just wanted to confirm there's an issue.

Perhaps we can all keep an eye on this, please?
While in session today, I noticed that not all plugins cause this dropout.

Are you using the new Automatic(experimental) buffering? I was and my usb soundcard kept going offline since installing the last two builds (no problems before that). By switching to the default the problem seems to have been remedied.

Has anyone reported this in the bug reports?

hm ... where is this setting at, please ??

I've been getting audio dropouts recently, and have been trying to locate the cause. I just added the 'Perception' plugin into my chain and thought it may be the culprit ... but not sure. :|

Reaper Preferences/Audio/Buffering/Behavior/Automatic(experimental)... there are several options for buffering behavior and I've just noticed this one seems to be causing some problems lately.
