New Reaper forum search plug-in extension
Here's a plug-in extension I've been working on for awhile, and thought I would go ahead and post it. Nothing fancy, just a Reaper google site search, and forum home page action. I'm still a noob when it comes to programming. Hopefully there won't be any bugs, but I'm making no promises. Special thanks to Xenakios for all his help and for letting me use his template, and Justin for the hints on getting this to work for Mac.
I've tested on Windows 7 32 and 64bit, Windows 8.1 64bit, and Mac(Intel) OSX 10.6.8 32bit and Mac 10.7 64bit
In the actions, they are listed as:
WR: Reaper forum home
WR: Search Reaper forums
I've put the actions under the help menu as well. Here's a demo gif:
Download for which version of Reaper your using here and extract them in your user plugins directory (See edit below). Requires Reaper to be restarted to take effect.
Right click, and save link as (if anyone has any trouble downloading, let me know).
Edit: New Windows versions available. (Still beta test)
Download Here:
Windows 32 (For Reaper 32)
Windows 64 (For Reaper 64)
Mac OSX 32 (Intel for Reaper 32)
Mac OSX 64 (Intel for Reaper64)
Thanks, Wyatt
Edit: One of the easiest ways to find the user plugins folder is to open up Reaper, then from the main menu choose options and click on "Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder" and copy and paste the reaper_forum.dll or the dylib (for Mac) in the "UserPlugins" folder, then restart Reaper.

So good idea, Wyatt!
Made a translation of your post in the french forum.
This plug should be embedded into the reaper next release as well.

I love this idea, but i can't make it work. Reaper 32 4.271 with sws in win 64 here. I think i put it in the right folder, but it's not showing in the help menu, neither in the actions. I restarted reaper a few times, but nothing...
Edit: Now i tried the 64 bits version with no luck. I see the reaper_forum32.dll loading in the splash logo at reaper launch... What im doing wrong?

That is very, very cool.
I look at it an think (well, besides "That is very, very cool." ) that Google search wouldn't be my first choice for that as a end user but ... the Stash? Hmmm....

Try it in the "Docs" folder in the main Reaper file, not in the app data roaming one!

Cool. I see no download-link.
Does it work for wiki too?

Hi,
No that's wrong. The Docs folder is for documents (manuals and such that's in pdf format, etc.) This is an extension plug-in that goes in the UserPlugins folder.
Thanks, Wyatt

I have some new windows builds. I kinda jumped into this too quick yesterday. I'm still a noob when it comes to programming. The builds I posted yesterday were built using VS2013 default settings, which built ok, but they required the c++ runtime library's to work. I've rebuilt them with /MT switch in the project settings , so now no runtimes needed. I need some beta testers to check it. Anyone here willing to check the new ones for me?
Edit: New versions updated. See first post to download.
Thanks, Wyatt
