Default Better horizontal zoom...

As it is know, I really don't understand the intent and concept behind the way horizontal zooming is implemented in Reaper. To me it makes no sense but maybe someone will chime in and explain why this is 'better' than an alternative way.

It's been brought up before in other parts of the forum and maybe here as well but I just wanted to add my voice for such a FR.

This video was done by another Reaper user on the forum (sorry, forgot his name. Maybe the same as his youtube name?). I think it's pretty self-explanatory. He's first showing how it 'should' work, using Studio One and then how it currently works in Reaper: zooming in displaces out of view the part one is trying to zoom in to...why oh why?? https://youtu.be/sTYgoR8jhfU

These can be changed in mouse modifiers. In my setup it zooms directly to where my mouse cursor is aimed.

Other's like it to zoom to selected items mid point. All is possible.

True. And I realised that shortly after posting but unfortunately, there is no way of deleting a post!?
