Default OT to Reaper: Where are VST3 Plugs Installed?

Im demoing Ozone 5 and Studio One sees 2 different sets of the Ozone plugins. If I remover the dll's from my plugins directory Studio One still sees the VST3 set of plugs but the installer never asked for a separate location to install them.

Studio One's plugins must be VST3 as well, because I havent been able to locate them on my drive anywhere either.

So anyone know where Windows hides VST3?

I think that it is a matter of where the VST3 Spec says they have to go - Windows just does what it's told (more or less ) The file extension is, I believe, .VST3, not .dll.

Have a look in:
(a sub-folder in) Program Files\Common Files\VST3\...
or Program Files(x86)\Common Files\VST3\...

Yeah. Found them there. Program Files\Common Files\VST3. I wonder why the installer would place both or not ask if you wanted to leave one off. I wonder why the VST3 spec says they have to be installed there?

I still have no idea where Studio One is hiding it's native plugs though...

They're in it's install directory I think. You can only use them in S1 anyway so... no point in even looking.

Havent found them there. I know they are locked in, but Im just crazy about knowing where everything is on my drive. It's just one of my "things". Im not a big fan of programs that spray files everywhere...

Program Files/PreSonus/Studio One 2/Plugins

If you're looking for individual plug names like ProEQ.dll or something, you won't find that because they're wrapped together mostly.

Do you see a 16mb file in there named "StudioEffects.dll"? That's likely where all the audio plugs are, inside that one dll.
