Where does "Options > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder" take you?

Default where do I put the theme folder?

Hi Folks sorry to ask such a silly question but putting the file folder in the normal color themes place in the reaper folder doesn't seem to work. Can some one take pitty on me and let me know were the folder should go?

When you run this action, you should put it in there, in ColorThemes folder. Put your theme there. It must work.

Desktop\Computer Name\AppData\Roaming\Reaper\ColorThemes

Still dont understand why it got moved
Because Vista and Windows 7 can report problems or prevent the operation if programs try to write into the Program Files folder / sub-folders

I tried loading the themes in the following path

C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\InstallData\ColorThemes

I unzipped the themes and put them in there but still a no go.

Does it matter if you are still evaluating Reaper? I just started to seriously get into Reaper now (owned the licenses for 1.8 and 2.0 a few years back).

Just want to make sure I can do all I need in Reaper first.

That's the wrong place. It's either C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\\ColorThemes (only in an "all-in-one"/USB style installation) or more likely C:\USERS\<username>\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\ColorTh emes\ (normal installation). You might need to enable display of hidden folders in the Windows Explorer view options to see it.

I have posted a question concerning this (a new thread), but saw this thread and wondered if someone here could help. I have duplicate data files in 2 different places. One place is the Users> Project studio> AppData> Roaming> Reaper> Data location, and the other is Program files> Reaper> installdata> Data location. The first location has the newer files and is where Reaper points to when I view the "Show Reaper resources path". Can I delete the duplicate files in the old location, location #2, without screwing anything up? Thanks for the help!

I think... think (as in "believe") that the files in InstallData folder are there so reaper can reset itself to factory configuration. Just leave it be, it won't harm anything. The folder that should concern the user is the folder that opens when you run the command "Show REAPER resource path in explorer". Everything else (everything under C:\Program Files\REAPER) should be considered the property of Cockos... sort of

Thanks, Fabian. I will leave well enough alone. Just wanted to be sure that it wasn't causing any conflicts.

If your using windows just right click the theme then open with reaper.
It will place the theme in the proper place without a other action.

It works for me when ever I add a theme.
