Windows Audio fights with rtpMidi/touchOSC
I think this is a bug, though I have a workaround too. I'm using rtpMidi to connect an iPad to Reaper on a Windows 7 laptop. I also use ASIO audio on the laptop, so I want to turn off the Windows Audio service. I start with rtpMidi on and the iPad connected. If I turn off Windows Audio first, and then start Reaper, Reaper doesn't notice the MIDI ports provided by rptMidi. (I also can't see TouchOSC.) However, if I have Windows Audio on when Reaper starts, then Reaper sees the midi ports (and TouchOSC), and I can then turn Windows Audio off.
Is that weird?
