Default Does Freeamp3 still crash?

Hi, everyone. First post here, I used to use Cubase, but have since been converted to Reaper. haven't quite downloaded it yet, though.... XD

Anyway, in Cubase, my favorite plug in EVER was Freeamp3. I like to use multiple instances of it during projects, but didn't run into too many problems with the Synthedit bug (I have a quad core CPU, btw). Have their been any fixes to the synth edit crashes on Reaper? FrettedSynth said all of his new VSTs would be released on SE 1.1, which is apparently free from the bug. Does anybody know If the current version of Freeamp has this problem? Thanks for all of the help, it looks like I'm going to stay awhile...

Hello

The versions of FA3 on http://rekkerd.org/fretted-synth are all still made with SE v1.0

I am working on a new version in SE v1.2 that has quite a few fixes and enhancements.

- Oversampling up to 8x
- MIDI learn by right click on all controls
- Reverb added in the amp
- Preset browser on plugin UI
- Copy, load and save of presets on the UI
- worked on all amps, eq's and speakers

And the one you asked about, it should now run on multi core machines.
The plugin is about done just need to go through all the presets to match all the changes.

Hi Joe,

I found out about FreeAmp3 just a few days ago and I really like it! Even though I have both AmpliTube3 and TH2, I'm always looking for AmpSims that are both small and sound good and yours fit the bill nicely. Thanks!

Chuck

BTW, you should have a "donate" button on your website for those of us who want to "give back". You deserve it.

Hear, hear, I will second that - I've used FA3 on my last two albums and I love that plugin to bits - even tho it kills every DAW I try it in with instability at some point. Please Joe, if it's an incentive for you to get the new shiny FA plugins ready then put a donation button up. I for one would gladly give you something to get the FA's made into super modern shiny mode. Would that include x64 builds as well? That would be even more super awesome. Or even maybe a "register" for the FA's with some extra features. Whatever way, you deserve something back for this, it kicks ten tons of serious s*it compared to everything else I've tried. It fits acoustically for me like a glove, and I can't give higher praise than that.

Wow thanks guys, I still have not completed presets for the new version. But if you would like to test it send me an email to frettedsynth [at] gmail.com
