Default Regions, Ripple and Duplicate Bug (SOLVED)

Since it did not exist, I had to create a custom action to duplicate time selection. I used ripple editing and the duplicate items action to accomplish this. (not using the macro in the licecap)

The bug/undesirable behavior I found is what Reaper does with regions when ripple duplicating.

In the example, I select all the items in region 1 (sorry they are out of order!), turn on Ripple for All Tracks and duplicate the items. Instead of Region 1 being twice as long, which I'd probably want, Region 2 grows to inherit the original items and Region 1 to moves to the right, containing only the duplicated items.

Duplicating items should not affect preceding regions, only the current and following Regions.

Also: the action "Markers: Delete region near cursor" behaves unpredictably. If cursor is where one Region ends and another begins, sometimes it deletes the one before and sometimes the one after. Not reliable...
