Default Are there plugins/ReWire plugins that allow for real-time collaboration across DAWs?

Hi all,

I'm wondering...do any of you know of/use a plugin that allows two or more users, potentially using different DAWs, to work in real-time or close to real time together? It wouldn't have to be perfect integration, but at least allow for quick transfers of audio, MIDI files, etc, and maybe some other helpful functions to streamline the collaborative process in such a scenario.

Avid is doing their cloud collaboration thing, but who knows when that will be up and running properly and anyways...it will be proprietary.

I'm wondering if something exists that can be used as a plugin (say, VST) in a DAW, that would do something like this. And then, as long as both users were connected to the internet and had VST-capable DAWs...they'd be able to collaborate in certain ways.

Does this exist?

There's NINJAM here in the Cockos universe, but that hasn't been updated in years and seems to be lacking in features somewhat.

Then there's the Digital Musician Plugin. Does anyone have any experience with that?

Take a look at Ohmstudio by OhmForce. Not exactly to play with someone in realtime but to work on a song. Has a free option too.
