How to Multichannel MT PowerDrumkit Like this?

In this video on MT Power Drumkit site the narrator explains that you can replace the kick or snare of the kit with another vst drum plugin,but I dont understand the Midi In/Midi Out functions that he explained.Can anyone tell me how to do it in reaper?

From memory,the kick or snare audio signal is sent to its own track - I think you just need to change that sent signal from audio to Midi and then place the VST onto the track that recieves the send.

Edit - Just watched the video again, seems quite well explained if you want to replace the whole kit. If you don't understand the midi in out functions then you would probably be best served learning that from the resources on this site and user manual.
