Removing Take Envelope from view?

Is this a bug or operator error? I can turn ON take envelopes, but I can't find a way to hide them from view.

I can't seem to UNselect these from the pull-down menu which is where I'd assume I'd do this. I haven't found anywhere else that will do this.

I should also add that the menu item:

Item>Take>(envelope choice)


Doesn't hide the either. Once they're checked, I can't turn them off.
