Do you mean the peak files? If so just make a new folder somewhere and direct reaper to store all the peak files there. Stops your project folders from becoming cluttered:

Preferences > General > Paths - tick 'Store all peak caches (.reapeaks) in alternate path: and specify the new folder.

Hey - I'm new to Reaper to and did my first recordings during the last 2-3 weeks and I too have way a mess in my project maps !

When I finish editing the individual audio tracks (=slicing, moving ...) I ended up glueing all the pieces together. I wanted to delete all other files the those mentioned in the properties for the individual tracks ... but some of them turned out to be used anyway ... the next time I opened the project, some files was affline !!!

How to get rid of this mess ?

Yep, I've done this with .reapeaks files but when I import multi-layer .mogg file Reaper saves all layers in some directory and don't delete it after closing project.

I've never used .mogg files. Where is reaper storing these temp files?

I tried this and made a folder under:

c:\Programs\Reaper\Garbage

but the more projects with audio tracks the more this folder wil be poluted with these reapeaks-files ... and a lot of them !

Can it be automatically be delete, and if "Yes" then "How" ?

One solution is to use Ccleaner. You can set it to delete specific folders when you use the 'Cleaner' function. I have my .reapeaks folder listed to be deleted every time I hit the 'Run Cleaner' button.
