Default Analysing a MIDI file

I usually deal with MIDI files of different, unkown sources. Most of them freedownloaded from the net, some of them bought in Spain for 3 €. I suppose, then, that their quality is not granted to be high, although in some cases they look very musical (mainly big american hits -oldies-).

Well, the think is that I import them into Sibelius, make some changes and reexport to MIDI again. Then I import into REAPER to convert them to audio (using VSTi or Kontakt 4). From time to time I encounter unexpected behaviour I feel the need to explore them internally (the MIDI file I mean)

Can anyone please advise on a tool to look at them, their events,... I use Anvil Studio 2012, but maybe you have better opinions.

thanks

Does the MIDI Editor View Mode: Event List help much?

Perhaps attach a problem MIDI file here for the devs to have a look at?

here you are, the midi file
the Acoustic Bass track is the culprit. Removing it causes misbehaviour to disappear
thanks

I saw a couopkle of things, looking at the tracks in the MIDI Editor: View Events

-- Acoustic Bass uses MIDI Channel 16 (here, anyway). I cannot see anything odd in it.
-- But there are also some Channel 16 CC messages in the Jazz Guitar track.
-- VSoprano and Violin 2 are both on Channel 01.
--And the Ditets might clash with the Drums.

What misbehaviour are you hearing?

Thanks, the misbehaviour is not on playback, but when inserting the midi file (all the tracks) on a project on a repetitive basis. I mean

the project contains the tracks (one per midi channel), their FX, their volume, pan, ..... when I modify the midi file (externally, in Sibelius) I have to import it agein (previously deleting the midi media in the reaper tracks , so emptying them)

At bult import, the guitar gets duplicated, the original track gets the proper guitar assigned, the duplicated one gets an empty midi track. But, in addition, the original guitar track loses all the FX previously associated......

In this scenario, I can't understand what is the role of the Bass track
