I added a Rack layout for both tcp & mcp.
Fixed the item as Slapclap suggested.

Like this a lot, even though I dont use an FX rack, but feel the buttons (mute, solo, etc) "should" be default in this great theme, in the mcp ofc (buttons on tcp work great but translated to mcp not too much I feel).

@sightlessness - I'll create a layout with those buttons, however the default IMO should remain as was envisioned by the originator space_echo201

Just tried it out hwhalen and it's just the same, selected item remains the same colour, If I try to select a region to cut all track items into say, four bars, there's no way to tell If I have all the track items selected, because they all remain the same colour, becomes difficult to edit an arrangement, the Reaper default action would be fine for this task IMO, would that be hard to implement in this theme?

I figured out a way to view the track FX's, so that's made the theme much faster to use, tweaking FX in a mix means a lot of mouse clicking without this workaround, I'm still at the novice stage when it comes to navigating Reaper, so I might be way behind some of the power users and I've only just started using some of the SWS extensions, but I love using this theme, so hope I can tweak to my needs. thanks for the good work man.

Don't know what's happening on your system, but here is what mine looks like.
The darker shaded items are selected. Also the audio and peaks are a lighter shade.

Me neither mate, that screen shot looks the biz, I downloaded the latest version from Reaper stash, took the old one out of Reaper resources and pasted in the new, so there wouldn't be any conflict, can't think what it might be, I've not really customized Reaper much other than a couple of mouse mods, like I say, I'm a novice when it comes to scripts and mods, so haven't got to deep into that side of things, only thing I can think of, is, I pasted the old theme on my desk top, maybe Reaper is still using that theme? I'll try tonight and delete the old theme all together and see what happens. thanks for your help mate.

Yes, I understand perfectly. Still, you can't deny that alternate layout looks damn godly, right? I love it, wow. Feels/looks like I am using a "real" mixer,,, kinda, right? :P

Annnd I just want to mention that I know and understand perfectly that you have a life, so I appreciate it lots that you are making this alternate layout.

It has the Alt layout which the others did not.

You should be able to get any layout you see in the pics.

Bravo! success, looks like it was the "tint media item background to" box's, they were all un ticked works a treat now, feel like a dope for not spotting that, thanks for the help mate, very happy to use this theme now.

I changed the Alt layout to make it a little simpler.
The io moves into the controls for affinity and the meter is a little wider.
I've dropped the volume labels.

If you like this better than download it.
If you prefer the previous one then keep the one you have as well.

Damn yeah, that change is great, I feel it is the way it supposed to be.
With the thing you taught me of Control + E I the theme looks so cool (I have all the
mixer ALT way, TCP tonelux, transport Imp).

No Curtis, nothing critical.
As the post states, the mono/stereo button in the ALT layout was updated.
It was blank and when mono was the round button. (did not look very good 8-).
The other change is very minor, a color change.
