Default Toneboosters TrackEssentials

Does anyone here have this pack and if so what is your opinion ?

I know the Reaplugs cover most of whats in the TE pack but my main interest is in the Desser, Ferrox and the EQ looks interesting although it seems a little glitchy in the graphics department on my system, but it sounds fine and it does M/S EQ so that is very cool.

I have the old version of ferrox which i like, is the new one better or the same with a new skin ?

I'm also checking out ReelBus, it sounds good but man it uses 10% cpu on my old rig

Anyhow i'd love to hear opinions from owners of the Toneboosters plugs.

Cheers

Can't say anything about Track Essentials but I got ReelBus recently and I love it. Tempted to put in on every track because it sounds so good (to my ears that is, of course).
Found out that you can also 'abuse' it as a compressor when you drive it hard, rounds the transients nicely (just as a tapesim should).

Definately recommended from me (for that price anyway).

+1 for reelbus, it's the only ToneBoosters plugin I own.

I never was a huge fan of ferrox though, and I have plugins that cover the Track Essentials bases so I don't really have any opinions on their other plugs.

As a slight off topic, I would check out the Hornet Channelstrip and Also the DDMF plugins.

I have jeroen's old upward/downward compressor/expander plug, ask him when he's rewriting/reissuing it -i know he's contemplating it.

I think Tonebooster's plugs are great and definitely worth the money for the license.

Enjoy.

I use ToneBoosters plugs on every project, in particular TB Isone, TB Equalizer, and TB Gate. Sometimes I'll put TB Reverb on a drum track.

Nearly every drum track gets the older JB Smash Pro (also by Jeroen Breebaart); I haven't seen an updated ToneBoosters
equivalent for that yet.

The ToneBoosters plugs are a very good value IMHO.

Own them, use them, love them. I have been using less and less standard algo plugs due to my falling deeper and deeper into the hole of Nebula plugins, but ToneBooster, Stillwell, Valhalla, Sknote, and Klanghelm are some of the few that I can't quit using.

I think the TB De-esser is probably the best low-dough de-esser around, though I don't really use much else from the track essentials bundle. I also agree that Reelbus is pretty cool.

Love 'em. Great buy.

I like the EQ a lot
- stereo/left/right/mid/side select for each band
- lots of detail in the low end of the graph where so much important music is
- nice big interface

Thanks to everyone for responding, much appreciated.

Well that looks like a 100% thumbs up rating, can't argue with that

No doubt the pack is good value, and the more i play with ReelBus the more i like it ( except for the CPU hit, ouch !! )

Thanks again

Cheers

I can get by without the track essentials bundle except for that DeEsser. I love it. Barricade is a great limiter and Reelbus seems great though I havent really put it through its paces yet.

Well, the plugins sound good and are easy to handle/ nice and clear interface.
But you can't really access the EQ's parameters by a midi controller, or the MCU.
Totally jumpy at the frequency's lower end...as an example..

I wrote him about it, hoped for some workaround.
He answered he couldn't do anything about, every plugin would behave that way...?... something I cannot confirm at all.

Reelbus is an amazing vst. It is one of my better / smarter purchases. Highly recommend!
