Midi note names and velocity numbers have disappeared

Clicking the items in the midi file menu makes no difference.
Another project shows them fine.

Any ideas how to get them back?

It's a synth track, notes set to rectangles, coloured by pitch.
The drum track in the same project shows them all.
I already restarted the PC.

So you already have these two options enabled in the MIDI Editor?:

- View -> Piano Roll notes -> Show velocity numbers on notes
- View -> Piano Roll notes -> Show note names on notes

Does enabling/disabling the option "Show velocity notes and names only on the active media item" make any difference?
Or choosing a different "Color notes by" option (than color by pitch)?

Is the note height 'big' enough to display any note text? Try using Ctrl + Mousewheel in the MIDI Editor to zoom in vertically. Or check which Action is assigned to [MIDI Editor] View: Zoom in vertically ...

Otherwise maybe also check the text color for the notes itself, just in case:
1) Action List -> Theme Development: Show theme tweak/configuration window
2) Check the colors for MIDI editor note/CC text color (light) and MIDI editor note/CC text color (dark)

And this only occurs in the MIDI items on the synth track in this project? Then it seems odd indeed ...
