Script or technique for volume leveling stereo audio items en masse

Hey All,

I'm dealing with batches of 300+ short stereo one shots. What are some strategies for volume leveling the LR to center them better?

I have tried using the balance panner, and exploding to new mono tracks, but it's too time consuming. Being REAPER, it seems like there may be a faster way.
