Default Option to lock "arm envelope"

Hey guys,
it seems there is no possibility to lock "arm envelope"
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=193180

Would be nice to have this possibility. Using automation read mode I like to see which parameters are already in use. Therefor I find it nice to have it "armed". Sometimes it happens that I lose that setting and the envelope changes to trim/read.

I think it could be easily implemented: double check an envelope "arm" box in the automation context menu to get a little lock icon instead of the check mark. Would be very nice to have this as a standard behaviour optional.

Can't you use global automation override for that? Set the global mode to Read and then you see it all.

no, global override to "read" does not lock envelope "arm for recording"

any further thoughts for this subject? I really miss that feature. I don't want to be able to accidentally adjust an already automated parameter. But this happens often...
