And thank you for pushing me into doing it in the first place! I did try something like the hyperlinks about four years ago but they didn't work properly. Happily the software has improved a lot since then.

Your work on the manual has always been exceptional, Nicholas. This just makes it all the more so; easier to use and even more comprehensive. Just outstanding, thank you very much.

Without doubt the best manual of its type I have every had the pleasure to use. Thanks a million for your efforts. I could probably find out by looking around but is there a tip jar for the manual? If like to buy someone a beer!

Thanks, Santa
I recently officially bought REAPER so this user guide is a must have I guess! Such a great helping tool, everything is there!

I just want to make sure I understand correctly...
Despite being in blue, the 'Contents' section at the beginning is not hyperlinked correct? Those are not clickable, right?
That's the way it is for me anyway, but everything else (or most I guess) in blue in the rest of the manual is in fact clickable.
Cheers,

Could be an update bug
They are clickable here in an older version 5.30c, but not (anymore) in the current 5.40c.

Instead of introducing myself...a big and massive THANK YOU!
Hi all,
as you can see, this is my first message on this board - as I only bought Reaper a couple of days ago. I didn't need to evaluate it for long to fall in love. I am using MIDI a lot, and the MIDI-Editor in Reaper alone would justify the price. Everything is so well thought out - basic stuff is quick and straight-forward while at any time you can dig down right to the bottom to get every detail just exactly how you want it. Or thought you wanted it.
And I haven't even "played through" half of the possibilities of this small quarter in the vast city that is Reaper. But like with every sightseeing, you might be overjoyed with what you see, exited to explore things on your own, but if it weren't for that guidebook, you would have missed something even more beautiful just round the corner from where you are, just by turning right instead of left. Happened a few times in the last couple of days, that the user guide just gave me a little nudge to make me see some little feature that made me laugh with joy. I refer to it as "THE GUIDE!" now, privately :-)
It is just everything: concise, lean and ultimately covering every detail at the same time. It's also always informative and helpful giving just the right amount of background information whenever required. It can not be overstated how important a good documentation is to a program. Half of the programmers' efforts are lost to the users, because they never know about them. Guess how I earn my money ;-)
THE GUIDE! is more than just a manual, though. It is so clearly a work of love, such a joy to read and work with...I am absolutely delighted (in case you didn't notice) - and I just wanted to say thank you!, thank you for all that effort and thought you put into this, whoever is involved.
So there you go. :-)
One very, very happy Tom.

Reason: PS: links from the contents to the chapters don't work for me either :-)
