Default Record, Play, Stop, MIDI

I've got a MIDI keyboard with record/play/stop buttons.

Is there I way I can link this to Reaper's record/play/stop so that I can control recording from the keyboard?

Is there a way to set Reaper so that if you hit record, stop, then record again it will start off where you left off on the track?

Thanks folks! First post here!

for the second part, hit space bar instead of Enter key to pause rather than stop-and-return. Works for me.
I also have a $5 MIDI-USB footswitch programmed to hit the spacebar or for that matter any other key I choose to connect to it via the editor that came with it.
Makes recording and stop/starting hands free a doddle

That sounds great. I'll have to find some software that ties MIDI to macros.
