Default Freesound samples via REAPER

Sounds interesting:

Maybe something for REAPER's Media Explorer to search for samples?

Just tried to use the Mootcher C++ API. It doesn't work. Known problem, it's been out of development for a long time apparently. So anyone wanting to get access from their programs to Freesound must roll their own implementation.

Thats a big shame
Could have been a useful repository instead of using the god awful stashbox

I don't see it as repository. It's a nice huge sample library for me.

yeah, ive been using stuff from here for a while now. Although alot of the files have terrible recordings, but nothing that cant be cleaned up easy enough.
Massive potential, for sure.

Hey, guys!

Maybe now it is time to implement Freesound samples preview and import to project?

Recently open source video editor Kdenlive has implemented such feature. So you can see how to do it using latest Freesound APIs.

It could be a killer feature that other DAWs can't do.
