I hope at some point devs you could have a look at this thread for a long standing (150 vote) Feature Request ( http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...=1#post1322820) to do with being able to group items into contained editing "regions" like the below gif:
Also, A reliable way of turning selected items (and tracks) into a self contained PIP file as a great way of acrhiving tracks There's a few of us who would be happy to get PIP finished off and help with bugs and finesse

If you're going to mention that, then I've always been fond of the look of this kind of item grouping:

Very nice update! I seem to get less those annoying crackles when skipping in the middle of playback.

+ Internals: small optimizations and buffer overflow protection
cool Will this stuff make a difference for low latency. I had this dream of running at 32 samples but there's a few reaper based processes that seem to be locked into best performance at 64 samples and no lower.
It's hard to go into detail as I did the testing months ago (and gave up) but will try some stuff out again at 32 and see how it goes

Not to mention this would finally give us containers for making working with takes a lot more complete so that we don't end up with splits and we can still treat the audio as one whole line/item even if it has many splits in it (and no, grouping is not a solution)

It's dangerous because we don't know that the data has been deleted.

It's clearly not the right way to handle it. However, it has always been the behavior. We will be fixing this, just not immediately.

May I inquire as to the chances of turning some of your attention to the less complex of the automation improvement suggestions in the immediate future ?
This will remain one of the rare occasions I direct such a question at you.

I hope the work on undo will help undos of fader movements in playback (on mac). At the moment I still get glitches every time. Same for most undos in playback even with large buffer settings.
