generally, this looks pretty good to me. one thing, though: how do i import
a wav file into a track with these menus? i looked at the screenshot and
didn't see it anywhere. that would seem to me, as someone who works mostly
with sound effects libraries, to be something i'd want at the top level.
thanks,
BabaG

Just right-click on the timeline: Insert->media file. I personally prefer to use the Media browser and Project bay for that kind of thing. Making a project bay of your effects might be really cool.

You did some awesome work there...
Mike,
the chaotic menus was one thing that deterred me from buying Reaper.
Owing to the awesome work you did concerning the menus, I think I might be paying for Reaper soon. This stuff is top notch ! Now I really enjoy using Reaper. And that's the way it should be, isn't it ?
Keep up your fine activity here on the forum.

I believe there is a clause that disallows uninstallation. Mike? There's a fine or something is what I read.

Haha. Sorry if I may have sounded annoying. The reason is of the newest Beta which features the editor contents in the View menu of the ME window. Wish there it would't be a submenu of the View menu and have a menu on its own for workflow's sake.

but, if you are new to the program, you might not know about the right click
option and would likely go to the menus first to find how to import. i still
think it should be a top level option, regardless of how many other groovy
ways there might be to achieve the same thing. not having a key function at
the top level of the menus could bring about the same kind of confusion that
brought about this fundamental reorganization of the menus in the first place.
there is a prevalent assumption within the reaper community that audio gets
into the program via recording or, possibly, via project import. there are
many instances in which one would in which audio comes in via direct import
of wav (or other) filetypes. the menu system should make it readily apparent
as to how to do this.
thanks,
BabaG

+1
I think integrating it in the View menu is quite impractical, should be it's own dropdown.
@Mike
I know you can't also make this its own menu, but I think it would be good to implement the "switching Midi items from View menu" (beta9) at least as top level in the View menu in the next ReaMenus version.
Thanks.

How? Private message me about it. We might be able to do something with the splicer now that I think about it.

I didn't want to wait.
I wasn't even aware that Reapers Menu could be customized so efficiently until I saw RADO 4 MenuFiles ( Warning ).
I thought they were great.
But these options are also excellent, especially the Memory Drop Down.
Just in case anyone wanted to see RADO 4 and these Menus together, with ED's SWS Colors, and Greymatters Toolbar 2 ( I always swap this after coloring tracks ).
It's such a treat customizing, and all you chaps saved me weeks and months of trail and error.
I know Scope DSP SDK and have my hands full with it's customizations, so the time spent on Reaper by all of you guys is much appreciated.

Well, the ReaMenus splicer allows people to customize the look of their menuset. And it also allows them to make customizations, while still being able to upgrade their menus.
Now, if you wanted to add RADO actions to the set and yet have people able to upgrade the menus, there's a really easy way to do it.
Basically, you'd just have to add the custom actions to the very top/bottom of the menus using the #protect-above and #protect-below dividers (see the splicer page for more info). This would let people splice to the most recent version of ReaMenus and keep the custom RADO actions. -- Also, the splicer doesn't touch the toolbars, so they'd be very safe.

Beta10
with support for SWS 2.0.0#28
and experimental support for the TabEditor plugin.
Highlights: - [Memory]->Project Templates
- [Item]->Open->Open with inline tab editor
- [Options]->Theme->Theme helper...
- [View]->Midi editors...
- Numerous other changes since Beta5 (that I should be documenting better).

Thanks again chief.
Now that I have your MenuFile installed, where can I find the tab editor plug in..?
I have installed the x64.dll into C/program files/plug ins.
But I am follwing the instructions where it say go to Extensions.
We no longer have that option using your MenuFIle and I am new to Reaper...
Thanks for time doing this.
The Memory option is really well organized now...

Is there any way to print out the entire menu as plain text in a hierarchical form. It would really help me to learn it faster.

Sweetness..........
This is a real lifesaver if I get it working 100%.
I often have to make rehersal CD's for guys who don't site read well, or read at all.
Then I have guys who expect me to wrtie out every part.
Having this inside of this 50 dollar gem is just considerate and really appreciated....
I have been messing with Reaper everyday for 2 weeks and I just love it.

Awesome! You might like to make some custom actions. After all, custom actions are the only thing that separates us from the beasts!

Just installed beta10.
Wanted to say thanks so much for your ongoing work Mike.
Got used to ReaMenus and couldn't imagine running Reaper without it anymore.

Ruler/arrange context->Region->Region list...
Opens Marker List instead of Region Manager (should be named Region Manager, too). Unless this is exactly what you wanted? Dunno, somehow makes more sense to have Region Manager here.

Sure! It's just updates that I'm concerned about... Let me know when you finish because I might be able to rig the splicer to keep language updates.

The new menus will be released today. Hopefully the "nested export" also. This release and all new news will be back on the regular ReaMenus topic here.

It's actually not a bug, but you simply permutated the action ID numbers, so it's simply a typo or something, I guess. There is nothing wrong with Reaper in this case.

Hi @MikeStopContiues
How's everything? Was wondering if you're still supporting or keeping development of your ReaMenu Project? Really curious to know if there has been any new updates?
Thanks
