Default New CD recorded with Reaper (with guest solos by Tony MacAlpine, Brett Garsed, ...)

Hi folks,

I'd like to personally thank all the nice people from Cockos and these forums for making Reaper such a great composing and recording tool!

I just finished my first solo project "Stardust Requiem", a 77 minutes instrumental guitar CD traveling many different styles with guest solos by Tony MacAlpine, Brett Garsed, Feodor Dosumov, ... recorded for most part and mixed entirely with Reaper.

This project took me more then 4 years to finish and sincerely, the success of the whole recording and mixing process is for a big part thanks to Reaper. I use a modest PC to compose, and Reaper has always been very stable and productive.

If you're interested you can preview some songs here in iTunes

Or you can read more about it here on my website :

Here are 2 songs you can listen to for free on my Soundcloud channel :

Again many thanks for such a great tool!

Cheers,

Hans

Nice work Hans.

N-Land very cool and great chilled vibe.

Lots of work can be heard ----- mixing and performance top class.

Nice finger work on many tracks ---I find the slower stuff more soulful, but that's just me.

Lovely stuff Hans, well worth the wait.

Good luck with the album.

Really lovely stuff! I love the delicate whammy work on N-Land.

Thanks for the great feedback guys!!

For those interested, I used Guitar Rig 5 for most leads and solos and Line 6 HD500 on a few rhythms with a real tube amp to monitor the guitar and create a natural feedback. But for best results, here's how I set up things today, it's the poor mans Torpedo live setup but you have the advantage to use as many cabinets as you want in GR5 and keep the sound from your tube amp head

cheers,

Hans
