Default Its Official : All Drum Drops Kits have TX16WX patches

Its Official : All Drum Drops Kits have TX16WX patches

A little while ago , Drum Drops contacted me after seeing my Yamaha Hybrid kit mapping and after a few emails I agreed to do it for ALL of their drum kits.

It took me around 3 months , with a lot of help from TX16WX’s developer, Calle, who was immensely responsive and tweaked the program to perfection. Also, the wealth of information on the Reaper and KVR forums helped a lot (especially the drum guru Tod). All the work and testing was done in Reaper 64 bit.

Finally it is done and the TX16WX patches officially included / released for all their MV packs. I can honestly say that these are fantastic sounding kits and will especially be enjoyable for people looking for a warmer sound. They are all very reasonably priced (seriously) and quite high in quality ( though personally I am partial to their Mapex Heavy Rock Kit and the Premier Kit ). They have patches / formats for their kits for pretty much every sampler on the market.

I am sure the number of included hi-hat articulations will bring a warm fuzzy feeling to all drum junkies. As will the included professional 500 midi grooves.

The mapping is mentioned in each MV pack's included .pdf manual. It follows the default mapping.

Check it out :

www.tx16wx.com

The thing that separates the TX16WX patches from the other sampler formats is :

- The patches work in the free TX16WX version, with all user editing options intact
- For a very small fee you can get access to group switching, wave matrices, in-built effects, round robins and support the developer
- very easy to tweak (read the quick start quide and skim the manual and you will good to go within 30 mins if you have any previous experience with samplers at all).
- Very responsive developer
- Works like a dream in Reaper

Just to be clear : I have zero commercial interests in this and just am sharing the good news and hard work.

Thanks ! Its actually become much much faster now to do the mappings due to :
- great improvements in the sampler itself
- my greater understanding of the text files it generates and how to manipulate them.

Well done! Your passion for drums is a pleasure to behold.

I treasure your stuff you've shared for free, and there's plenty of it. You're one of the greats in this forum, along with jnif and his Megababy sequencer. Hamish has just offered a great kit to us at the best price in the world.............Evil Dragon and Tod are generous givers, too.

This forum ROCKS!!!!!

Wow, that's a really big undertaking suleiman. I have been eyeing off their stuff for a while. I have to add that you are an inspiration around here with the energy you put into drum sequencing and mapping (and my RS5K Katoomba Kit would probably not have surfaced in this forum otherwise...)

Updated mapping info (added to the OP too):

The mapping is mentioned in each MV pack's included .pdf manual. It follows the default mapping exactly.
