Kirnu - Arpeggiator

I'm using the Kirnu - Arto Vaarala VST arpeggiator (V 1.2.1) with Reaper on a Mac, and I've noticed that every time I close and reopen a project I lose all my settings for Kirnu. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a problem with Kirnu?

I know I can set controller events for my Kirnu settings at the start of the project, but I'd rather just be able to use the UI. Thanks!

One thing you might want to check is in REAPER Preferences/Plug-ins/Compatibility/ make sure that "Disable saving full plug-in state" is NOT ticked.

Nope, it's not checked. Any other ideas?

Are you using the paid version? Demo doesn't save settings.

Kirnu Cream is a great tool, lots of fun, well worth the relatively low price. Using it for (among other things) driving an external bass station 2, very pleased with results.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - Welcome to the forums! Lots of helpful, experiemced and friendly members, please feel free to ask anything, and post just about anything - doesn't have to be specific to Reaper..

Maybe, maybe not. The plain old Kirnu v1 (version 1.2.1 since 2012) is free and as just tested here, it will keep the settings with the project. I don't know if there are some settings which don't save but it's certainly not losing them all here. Kirnu Cream is the commercial version, and the demo of it doesn't save the presets.

Kirnu Cream was also free with Computer Music Magazine a few months back. I still can't believe all of the free vst/vsti's that you get for buying one edition. Amazing value.

Hi guys!
For those who use Kirnu: are you on pc or mac?? because I am on mac, with Reaper, and not able to get one single sound from this arp...? I think the set up is ok, Kirnu detect notes (I can see them on the UI) but no sound... Help would be appreciated

Kirnu does not create sound. It must feed an instrument.

Sorry I didn't precise that I put on the track FM8 synth as a second plugin (after Kirnu in the chain).
But nothing happens...

The Kirnu arps are awesome, I have both the old freeware version and the one that comes with CM. Perfect for creating arpeggiated parts of course, but also great creativity tools. You can just randomize parameters and use it as a base for coming up with new ideas.
