Default Relative render path

Hey!

I'm currently evaluating Reaper, and unfortunately ran into a deal breaker: render paths cannot be relative to the project.

It may sound like it's not a big deal, but this results in Reaper songs not fitting into the pipeline for game development. If I commit a song, open it on another work computer where the project path is different (or if the directory structure of our game has changed, as it does all the time), make some modifications, and want to quickly render it and try out in the game we're making, I need to update the render paths.

Now, since I use my sequencer not only for music, but sound effects, I end up make loads of modifications and renders every day. The reason I'm considering Reaper is actually that in my current sequencer, I'm wasting too much time in render dialogs due to the lack of support for relative render paths - something they don't seem to plan to add.

If this is fixed, Reaper is likely to be my new sequencer of choice.

I'd support this.

+1 to relative render path.

If you click the Browse button in the Output: Directory. There is always an item in the menu which is the Audio folder of the project. What I do is then remove the Audio part manually and then I have the project folder. Then in the filename I can put "EXPORT\filename.wav" and it creates the EXPORT directory inside the project Directory for the rendered file
