Default Request Comments: Homemade Vocoder in built Reaper using stock plugins

This was fun. It's silly and limited, but I learned a lot about Reaper and about audio processing.

Audio output: https://soundcloud.com/superbonuspak...r-experiment-1

Blog post: http://buildingthingsbackwards.blogs...r-daw-for.html

Reaper project zip file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0o...3lOc0hzSnVGQUE

Basically:

1. It has a track where the voice goes, using pre-fader sends to get it to the individual Bandpass tracks
2. The Bandpass tracks chop out the bands with ReaFir and do pre-fader sends to the Noise Mod tracks, which get the audio to be modulated from another send. The output of the Bandpass filter track is sidechained to a JS: SStillwell/expander.

It sounds ass, but its recognizably a vocoder.
