Default Evaluate mix

Hi!
Im working on a project for a client right now and would love some feedback on this mix. What would you do different or is it allright.
What band artist would you try and tweek this against, at this point i've not used a ref song.

i'm not a big fan of piezo sounding acoustic guitars (just a personal thing), so i'd probably take a little off the high end, and possibly back them off (sounds double tracked). maybe add a little reverb to fill them up after backing them off.

other than that, the lay-over rim shot in the verse could be boosted.

Thanks man!
Yeah, the guitars might be a bit to bright and too upfront. Im going to make a version with those adjustments.
The rim shots are killing me. In my studio they are a bit low, a few other places they are to high. Can i ask you what kind of system you are listening on?

Thanks again for taking the time to listen.

The rim / X-stick sounds fine on my system although the hats are a little dominant for my taste in the verse/quieter sections.
The acoustic guitar/s ? are bright but they don't sound out of place tonaly in the track to me, however they are too loud in the verse/quieter sections, again to my taste.
You might also try bringing the vocal forward ( just slightly ), some parts seem fine and other lines / words seem to low so it might be more of a vocal leveling thing, a combo of automation & light compression ?

Nice sounding track overall.

Cheers
