Default Can I use a Dell D 630 with XP service Pack 3

New to DAW and just purchased a used TASCAM FW- 1884. I have a Dell D 630 with XP Service Pack 3 which I scrubbed the HD, did a re-install of Windows XP and updated.

Looking at Reaper but cannot confirm that it will work with XP.
Do I had to look at a earlier version of Reaper or another software package?

Thank you for your help in advance.

I just googled that lappy..yeah..you can record on that no problem

REAPER will certainly work on it.It'll work on anything.Get the latest version.

You're gonna be limited in the amount of processing you can do..but if you're just starting out I think you'll be grand

XP is a great OS for audio..although you should google "XP optimisation for audio" and read up on how to make the most of it

Thank you for the encouragement and just need to understand the drivers needed now.
You mentioned "XP optimization for audio" but when I Googled that thread this blog came up as the only result. Anywhere special I should look?

Thank you for ALL your help in advance.
