Default Where is YEP?

Does anybody know if the author of Why Do Your Recordings Sound Like Ass has posted or is currently posting anything since that thread ended? And if so, where? Thanks.

Are we talking about this thread: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=29283 ?
I clicked on his user name and all works fine, or am I missing something?

I think they were trying to search for posts by yep on the search page then copy/paste that link. As I said though I 'think' that type of search eventually expires.

Aah, thanks! I gave up searching the forum, I use DuckDuckGo for that meanwhile.

I did, it says 'no results' so if it still works for you, its per user, if it has stopped working for you, it's due to timeout. It should be a spam/security setting for the forum or something similar to that.

I was going to create a google search link but since his username is "Yep" I figured it would generate too many false hits.

That's weird as hell. I clicked Lokasenna's link and it didn't work for me. By per user you mean the user clicking the link. Guess he'll have to just go to a yep post and get the posts himself. That's weird that they can't make a globally useful link.

Neither Lokasenna's link nor your link work. You are a programmer aren't you? Did you notice it uses a 'search id' instead of the search term in the querystring? That's a hint.

AKA this...

http://forum.cockos.com/search.php?searchid=12920212

Instead of this...

http://forum.cockos.com/search.php?user=yep

A similar protection exists with the new posts link, it generates an expiring ID which is why you have to use ?do=getnew to bookmark it instead of the actual result of clicking the link. I've never used vBulletin but I figured it was an admin setting.

A while ago I made a bookmark for searching the REAPER forum. I have saved it with a fixed search term (Default Dark Theme) . If I replace that by yep (as typed here, no upper case letters) the thread is the first result. DuckDuckGo is cool and no tracking...: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=yep+site%3...b=v47-2&ia=web

Yep, my only drawback was a lot of people say "yep" in posts like I just did. But will probably work OK I suppose. If memory serves DuckDuckGo still utilizes the Bing indexes/api, not that it matters tracking wise but FYI.
